Morning Comes, and You Wake

Morning comes, and you wake. Your first awareness is of boundless misery. You long for some kind of caffeinated beverage so you can be miserable faster. You leave your place of dwelling and go to the coffee establishment a few streets away.
"Coffee, please." You say to the barista.
"Milk, or no milk?" He asks back.
"Milk, please." You say.
"Colombian, or Brazilian?"
"Ah.. I don't know, anything. Colombian."
"Northern, or southern Colombian?"
"I don't care, please, any thing."
"Would you prefer the beans to be the one grown in two thousand feats, or four thousand feats?"
"What? What is the difference? Whatever. Anything please."
"Would you prefer...?"
"ANYTHING FOR GOD'S SAKE!"
"Your order will be placed in a minute."
You sit next to a window. A man pretending to be happy brings your coffee. You take a sip, and you realize it's shit. You realize that one of the utterly useless choices turned out not to be useless and actually held significance. You realized that if you know more about coffee you could have had a better drink, yet, you ignored it and now you're paying the price.
You drink your disgusting coffee. You leave. You promise yourself to read more about coffee so that next time you don't mess things up again.
The thing is, you don't.
